RUFF SLEEPERS

Ruff Sleepers is an Not-For-Profit organisation caring for the pets of homeless people and those at risk of homelessness. 

Ruff Sleepers volunteers work alongside the volunteer vets group Pets in the Park at their monthly sessions to provide free and mobile pet washing services, access to flea and worm treatments, referrals to free vet clinics and information about services for homeless people with pets.

The group is also working to raise money for an emergency treatment fund for life-saving surgeries for homeless dogs, and advocate the benefits of having pets for mental and physical wellbeing, as well as the need for pet friendly crisis accommodation – especially for women and children, so they can keep their pets with them when taking refuge from domestic violence.
